Was just here to be with my best friend during her delivery and all of the staff was absolutely amazing. I do have to say though that Fonta, the midwife, was absolutely stellar. She made the whole experience that much better. She kept the fun in the room and spirits high. Everyone was so kind and considerate and knew exactly what to do!
I’ve never been to an ER I really liked, but I have visited various hospitals where some I liked more than others. The UPMC of 5–7 years ago feels very different from the UPMC of today. Aside from the obvious changes like metal detectors and increased security following a tragic event on campus, much of my experience comes down to patient support. I have personally been a patient here and have had outstanding care! Would highly recommend over Wellspan, where I have been a patient, too.
This place literally had my girlfriend sit and wait to be seen after literally having two seizures back to back, hitting her head and vomiting. 12 hours in the waiting room. receptionnists give dirty looks whenever you ask for something or an update. this will be the last time i ever come here. at this point wellspan is better!
