UPMC Northwest is a joke. It's a shame this is the closest hospital to where I live. If I were to ever have a medical emergency, I wouldn't trust these people with my life. My father recently visited there, complaining of joint stiffness, severe back pain and muscle pain, a fever, and a bite on the back of his leg, along with a nasty rash. I'm not even a doctor and I could clearly tell it was a tick bite. They sent him home with no antibiotics or answers. What kind of idiots work there? Cause the staff treat you like garbage
Past experiences with them have been very bad. I was pregnant with twins and they were not equipped enough to handle an emergency. That was 6 years ago. Then this year a family member had a simple surgery of having gull bladder removed was rushed to Pittsburgh had 5 more surgeries in 1 month from a physician being in a hurry going on vacation. Then another family member went to have another simple surgery on a limb and she passed away during surgery. I don't care to send my animals or my worst enemy to this hospital. A frien... read more
doctors and nurses are very nice and well trained we just had our first baby here and everybody helped as much as they could.
