They are a great doctors office! The staff & doctors are very caring. Definitely recommend, they try their best to accommodate.. however, I think they have taken on too many patients at times bc now you can’t get in for same day appointments NO matter how early you start messaging & calling. I started messaging around 2am & called when they tell you to schedule, sat on the phone for 11 mins waiting for them to say “we don’t have any appointments left”. So shameful that a doctor's office would Gaslight a parent when they know that there's something wrong with their child. Especially when there's plenty of family history to go along with it to show cause for concern. You wold think they would want to show some urgency in getting the child back in there quickly to find out what the underlying cause is as so the child doesn't have to continue to suffer. I used to think this office was a good one and had it together. I guess not I was proven wrong.
Dr. Vascik is great with kids and does not make you feel rushed through the appointment. He takes time to listen to your concerns and addresses each item thoroughly. We never have to wait long for our appointment and we get out pretty quickly too. Torie is our favorite nurse. The check-in staff are always very prompt and friendly too!
The doctors are amazing! They take time to get to know the children. The waiting room is never crowded so it doesn't feel like a germ pool. We switched from Keystone a few years ago. It's a world of difference at UPMC!
Both of my sons see Dr. Black and he is truly amazing with children, i worried about changing my older sons doctor because he’s autistic but he took to Dr Black immediately.
