Greatest care I've ever received in an er. Staff was polite, attentive, thorough, expedient, and educational. I've spent as much time in a lobby at other hospitals than it took for me to have ekg, ct, blood work and iv medicines and discharged here. Amazing.

I have to say that within the last year Shelbyville ER has been first rate in taking care of my family members. Recently, my husband went in (after we had landed from an international flight one hour earlier) with acute hiccups lasting over 48 hours, severe pain, etc. Cynthia the nurse took care of my husband made sure he was comfortable and also made sure I was okay. I went in the E.R. yo get checked out because of such pain in my legs and some pain in hips and back. My legs my main concern. They didn't seem to care what I was saying in triage as they cut me off very quickly. They then took me to a room in the far corner and said someone would see me soon. 1.5 to 2 hours passed and I saw no one. Finally a employer came in and said she needed me to go pee in cup to check if pregnant before going for imaging. Nurses violated HIPPA sharing information for everyone to hear, talked crap about patients also for everyone to hear and accused my brother of being a Junkie because he was sick and skinny when he came in. Would give a 0 star if I could. No patient respect at all!!

This is the worst care I’ve ever received. I went in for throwing up all day not even being able to keep water down, leading to me throwing up blood. I came in and waited for two hours, for them to just collect a urine sample, take my temperature, and monitor my oxygen and blood pressure. No tests or even listened to my lungs, nothing.
