Peace Hospital in Louisville, KY was just okay, but I definitely would not go back. The use of force felt unnecessary, especially on 3 North. There was one nurse who worked regularly and seemed to give shots for almost anything, even when the situation didn’t seem serious enough to require it. The use of mechanical restraints was also concerning. If someone is in a behavioral hospital, they are already struggling, and strapping patients to a bed or chair felt excessive and unnecessary. I stayed here in October on an adult unit my mental health wasn’t in the best place at the time. The unit I stayed on mostly consisted of people who where recovering from drugs or alcohol. I’ve never done drugs or drank in my life so it felt a little odd, lol. The nurses were great and super chill!! I did almost get attacked by a patient a couple times for using the phone, so tried to stay in my room when it would happen till they stopped freaking out.
