UNUM terrible customer support. I do not recommend this company. They seem friendly upfront and then when you need something they deny everything.
To all the future clients that have problems with this insurance company, when you are out of work, filing a workmen comp claim. I strongly urge you to seek an attorney, they will make sure that Unum will pay what your are to be given.
Absolute nightmare of a company.
I find it comical all these people below me leaving reviews expect insuarance companies to drop everything theyre doing, and run them a check immediatley in the mail. If you buy the cheapest insurance coverage you get the cheapest results... This company has always answered my calls, kept me updated and provided great service. Ive never had a "great" insurance company experience until unum this company is definetley top of the line.
This is one of the most horrible places I have ever had to deal with. They don't waste anytime taking the premiums from your check, but takes their sweet time paying you. The trouble I have had dealing with these people is beyond ridiculous. I was out of work for 6wks before I even received a payment that was not even enough to pay anything. Just never have surgery, unless you can afford to be without a paycheck. I'm supposed to have another surgery, but I'm praying to God that it heals itself because I will not deal with th... read more
