I've never used this kind of service through an employer before, so I made sure I read and understood how the process works ahead of time. My experience with Unum so far has been smooth and easy. The reps are friendly, communicative, and understanding. Because of that, I was able to pay my hospital bill in full with my claim, and be able to purchase my necessities while spending time recovering.

I DO NOT recommend this insurance company. I had a bad experience with them. I received an email stating my first STD payment was on the way. I never received it so I called them and a representative said someone called to update my bank info a week prior and the payment was sent to a different bank. They were going to try and recall the payment and then fixed my bank info. If I can give 0 star I will definitely do the most difficult process ever , it s like you walk on maze on darkness It's your right but the wany you to give up and I'm sure I lot of people the give up because the have no help

I would never recommend insurance through Unum. All of their services, from dental insurance to disability insurance is terrible, customer support knows nothing and it’s impossible to get a call back.
