There is not even an option to speak to a representative. it goes through a library of options and then disconnects you. I am a policy holder since 1997 and cant even communicate with anyone. Not even chat.
Absolute Garbage, You use FMLA when life is tough and these people make it so much more difficult. The site always crashes, and the operators never answer the phone. When they do it is a call center in India. They take forever to get back to you with an answer and I had to resubmit my claim over 10 times because their site crashes. IDK how they are still in business with all these 1 star reviews. Someone is getting rich off this scam and that is the worst part of it.
Don’t bother paying for this monthly! They take the money out your paycheck for short term and long term disability. But don’t approve you when you truly need it. Worse company ever.
I enrolled in UNUM voluntary insurance and the coverage information included eye injuries and surgery. On 11/30/2023 I had surgery for a detached retina and a Giant Retinal Tear. The doctors injected silicone oil into my eye for recovery purposes. On 2/8/2024, I had a second surgery to remove the oil. I submitted a claim for an accident due to the detachment, however, I could not say exactly how my retina became detached and torn.
