My Dad passed away October 4th 2024, it's September 2025. My mom has yet to receive the life insurance payment. My dad paid into through his company. Keep giving her the run around. My wife passed away. No one can tell me where the insurance payout is. It's supposed to be shipped via UPS. No one knows if it's even been picked up. It's a significant amount of $$
Contact Unum and open a claim for short term disability then was told will take 5 business days to review. On the 6th day contact me and collected more urgent care information and then told me will take 5 more days to review. They could have ask about the urgent care info on the first call and took 5 days to have that second person to receive my claim to review. Unum kept giving excuses so they don’t have to pay anything especially for the short and disability claims. Wish I can give 0 star. Unum is the worse ever!!!
