The Dr's aren't very professional and will pick and choose who will get surgery and who won't. They will then have the nurses and staff lie to you about it. My surgery was first scheduled in December and UUA never submitted the paperwork to either of my insurance companies for precertification. UUA called me the day before my scheduled surgery and said that I never went for the precertification as directed. They then told me that I would be put on the schedule again for January.
