I lived here for two years with my family, and despite the low rent, I wouldn’t recommend it. Each apartment has different problems, but in my case, the biggest issues were dirty air ducts, worn-out wooden floors, and outdated windows, making maintenance difficult. Security is also a concern—there were incidents of car windows being smashed at night, even though security patrols every one to two hours, and tenants have to pay $50/month for it. I have lived for 5 years in this apartment. It’s considred graduate housing of U of R. Overall, apartment is good given the low rent. Blue line Shuttles stops here. You can also walk to U of R campus within 15 min. Parks near genesee river are reachable where you can walk or bike there. It’s old apartment, you may hear noise from neighbors but mostly quiet, safe and peaceful neighborhood. They have good heating systems in winter. If you don’t mind living with mice then you can come live here. The management is super irresponsible. They don’t even have enough recycle bins. Just waiting for my study to finish and leave this place.
