I wish I could give 0 stars. I was there 8 days and sent home with no answers. Admitted June 17th for stomach cramps, migraines and low back pain. They did 2 X-rays on my chest on June 17th and 22nd. They did a Nuclear Scan on the 20th and a Endoscopy on the 23rd. Do any of these check your migraines or back, my issue exactly…where to start, it was a wild ride of Sitting for 4 days, June 18, 19, 21, and 22 with NOTHING DONE. Just go to a carilion hospital or Augusta or anywhere else besides this joke of a hospital. UVA is a predator when it comes to billing. They have fraudulently coded my bill to upcharge me. Took my bill from a copay of $40 to a payment insurance wouldn't touch for $600. I contacted their billing department to dispute it, they were VERY rude and uncooperative. Contacted my insurance and they said they had never seen my procedure coded in such a way and pushed back. Yet again it got nowhere and my insurance let me know that the... read more
This place is slower than molasses. The worst place I've been in my life. Why does it take 7 hours to get a swab done and that doesn't even include the results of the swab. These people have absolutely no compassion or empathy for the sick people who walk in here. Saying this hospital is the best in Virginia is laughable. If you come here make sure you bring food water and a phone charger because you will definitely need it !
I wish could give 0 stars. I was there 8 days, they did 2 X-rays, a nuclear scan and upper endoscopy. Bad thing is, my lower stomach was the source of pain. I also had back pain and dizziness with migraines. They didn’t check any of that. Four of the eight days they did nothing for me. A nurse in charge of that department came in screaming at me telling me I wasn’t really in pain because I didn’t ask for pain medicine after my endoscopy where I was given fentanyl.
