Seven faculty members started the University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union in 1937. In 2006, students were invited to join, as were Alumni in 2017. The founders believed in helping members save, borrow and live better. We continue to focus on these principles. Members own the credit union and each member has one vote and equal ownership. I love my bank, University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union. They truly have customers' best interests at heart. No sneaky outrageous late fees, no predatory lending schemes, no unethical exploitative practices. Just good old community bank which offers super low interest overdraft, credit cards, and loan... And they just texted and called to make sure a charge on my credit card was not fraudulent. That's what I want, and what our society needs more of, just simple ethical business who treats costumers with decency and care.
