My experience within this department was horrible. I was admitted under "Dr." Trull, a supposed "psychiatrist" who never acknowledged me nor my concerns about my diagnosis during my time there. This is not a proper place to get mental health treatment as you are essentially ONLY babysat to ensure your safety. There is no therapy, no group therapy, nor genuine support by the psychiatrists. As a patient, you are simply treated as a study for the trainee residents. Seek mental help elsewhere.
This place is not the place to get quality care. My daughter came here about a year ago - just before turning 18. First they sent her to child psychiatry even though she was 17. She saw a councilor there once- then the councilor left. Then they made her see a interm councilor for one session. Then they transferred my daughter to adult care. She saw a councilor there for about 4 sessions - then this councilor left - now they have just told us that they currently don’t have anyone available for my daughter to speak with.
