I like my Docs, but the parking situation gets a -10. If I weren’t elderly, sick and low-income, I could probably deal with it by using the valet service. Since I can’t pay for that, I’m switching most of my care to other more user-friendly providers who don’t only offer convenient parking to the able-bodied wealthy among us, but to low-income elderly and disabled as well. Bye-bye, U of M Hospital.
Sadly, I am no longer able to access my great providers here because of the lack of accommodations for people in my income level with physical limitations. You would think that a state-run medical organization would be required to provide such accommodations to elderly/disabled/low-income patients, but that is definitely not the case here. Very frustrating. Considering a lawsuit.
Thank You!! uofm for dropping Blue Cross insurance after going to my specialist there for many years. I'm 40 miles from you and any other actual notable major hospital in the other direction that I feel comfortable going. I'll choose that other next closest major hospital, 40 miles the other direction.....oh wait you bought them, now they are uofm also. Yeah, not to mention the medication I need.
