Was a good experience for me. The nurses and doctors and techs are really cool people.
I'm reluctant to complain too much, because I know my mental illness biases me against a place like this. Sparrow was .. fine, I guess. Staff was friendly. Rules were clear and enforced. People were reasonable. Mostly, you feel drugged up, alone, and scared. But I'm alive, so they did their mission. Roberta and Alex are wonderful. (Edit to clarify; I was in the behavioral health unit twice.)
Had shoulder surgery at the st. Lawrence campus and was blown away by the staff and nurses , the kindness, bedside manner, respect and care was top notch! Hope, Kelly, brandy and the nice women who worked so hard to distract me from my IV, I didn’t get her name but these nurses were the A team. Can’t tell you enough how comfortable and cared for I felt! I hope they all get the pat on the back they deserve .
