I unfortunately needed an urgent care center in the process of moving to the area. I picked UMd not realizing it wasn't the closest option. Happy accident. I had such a great experience the first time, that when I needed it again 3 weeks later, I drove the extra distance. Maybe not the most important thing, but, the place is so clean with a nice waiting area (a nice perk when you're feeling not so hot - the last thing you want to do is sit in a dingy mint green or yellow room with translucent lighting). Went there weds afternoon, luckily they weren't busy. I was checked in and helped immediately. Everyone there could not be any nicer and professional. Great experience
On the website and other places it states walk-ins are welcome. I got there at 7:10. There was one person sitting in the lobby. Everyone from the front desk was back somewhere else then they all came out and she said did you just walk in and I said yes, and she said well unfortunately we can’t see you because of the volume of patients we have there was one person in the lobby so I’m sure it has something to do with the fact it was 710 and they close at 8 o’clock
They should rename this place, Part of The Problem “Medical” Center. Karens in lab coats pretending to be doctors. They have one doctor that visits once a month and they a nurse practitioner that knows very little and she is actually the best you could hope for here. The other 5 receptionists are all lab coats wearing wannabes that want to pretend to doctors. After all their name is stitched onto the lab coat. That has to count for something, right??
My healing began as soon as I walked in the door. Everyone - Ginger, Kristen, Amanda - was welcoming, compassionate, and professional. Dr. Goodman was magnificent! When she stepped out of the room for a minute, I looked her up online to see if she had a private practice. I was prepared to make her my primary care doctor!
