Come on now university! This is a very good hospital! One of the best! But DANG!!! Got sent to the ER from the dermatologist at 930 in the morning. Got called in the back, got a IV put in, then sent to a hallway. Sat in these uncomfortable chairs for 10 hours! The nurses come and ask you personal questions in front of every body else in the hallway! For as good as this hospital is, y’all need to do better with the emergency room! After telling them we were leaving due to their callousness, rudeness and lack of overall care. After Being yelled over and completely disrespected We decided to leave. My daughter who was the patient has been sick for weeks now (received inpatient care from another hospital.) I even went back to get the names of the nurses so I could make a formal complaint against them, not once did they say anything other than ignorance. We get home and what do you know…. 14 hours of waiting to get a 2 minute scan.. the experts have knowledge but front desk were rude to everyone the entire time and no one working there is trying to offer any good experience

I was in Baltimore for a work conference and had a medical emergency. I went into UMMC ER and received incredibly quick and attentive care! I was very impressed! Thank you UMMC for making this out of towner feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation!
