The staff, at all levels, is doing a great job to make patients feel as safe and comfortable as possible even with the heightened security measures. Seeing all the masks, face shields and protective gear is quite intimidating but everyone I came in contact with was smiling, kind and helpful in providing directions and guidance. Shout out to University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics Emergency Department for getting me in and out quickly while ensuring everyone’s safety regarding COVID-19! While I was chopping onions for dinner the onion slipped my finger under the knife. I sliced off half my nail and a small chunk of my finger! I spent 2 weeks on 3RC east. The nurses, nurse aids, PT therapists, and all the drs I had contact with were great. Many times it felt as if it were family members taking care of me

best hospital... I was born at the University of Iowa i only weighed 2 pounds i have cerebral palsy i have been going to this hospital since 1967 with leg braces. and then in 2013 I found out I had breast cancer had surgery did radiation for 8 weeks Monday thru Friday. and then in 2016 it all came back but in different parts of my body. and I have to do chemotherapy for the rest of my life. I want to say thank you to my cancer team at the University of Iowa they are awesome ... and I will keep on fighting.
University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics is an amazing place, full of caring people and awesome doctors/nurses etc. 20 years ago they saved my babies life when she had bacterial meningitis, they have taken great care of my family and me ever since. All staff are great at what they do!
I received excellent care from the nurses and docs in the ICU. They were compassionate to me beyond words. They saved my life and my sanity. Nate, Anna, etc. I love you.
