Horrible. I have bezel cell skin cancer in my right ear and probably going to lose my ear. First, they did not accept my insurance so I had to pay out of pocket, then they took me back to a room to wait for the Dr. We sat in this room while we could hear people laughing in the hallway. I looked out the door 4 or 5 times to see if anyone was going to talk me. After sitting there for an hour, we left and it looked like the whole staff was gathered laughing. My wife moved from AZ Oncology to Banner because it was purchased and closed and I can tell you this is the worst thing after the cancer diagnosis that we have been through. My wife’s Banner doctor wrote 4 days of FMLA for infusions not 4 days for recovery each time 4 days total, TOTAL!!! If you are fighting cancer or a loved one is find someplace else because we are now trying to find a new doctor because this place is crazy!
UPDATE-I see the response from Banner. Wouldve been great to hear solutions for the future or if not SOP, how this type of situation would be handled. Ex: front desk verifies with quick call, what I reported during calls to UHC. Js. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! If I could give a negative number I would. I (tried to) checked in with Andrea at front desk. She said I didn't have a referral and as of May 1st, UHC required referrals for all specialists. I advised I verified w/UHC & I didn't need a referral for followup visits & claim ... read more
