While the doctors may be competent, the front office staff is quite inferior. They (especially Delfina in pulmonology) have zero sense of urgency to schedule appointments and blatantly violate California Timely Access to Care law, either out of ignorance or open defiance. Apparently they made a sloppy transition from MyChart to athenahealth, and patients are required to access medical records from two separate platforms. I received a voicemail today that my appointment for September 18, 2025 was cancelled because the provider was not going to be in office that day, therefore, they had to reschedule me for June 3, 2026! Next fricken year, are you kidding me!! I waited 6 months for my September appointment, just for it to be cancelled 2 days before. When I returned the call to inquire why my appointment was push so far out and if I could be seen sooner, the rude lady said that I could call and go elsewhere if I can't wait. I have been rescheduled and scheduled for an entire year. First my January appointment moved to March then March appointment cancelled for May then May Appointment cancelled for September and now I just got a call it is cancelled again and moved to December. I had been holding on hope to finally be seen, but am giving up. Calling only gets you a "everyone is busy find someone else."
The lady who answers the phone is really rude, Also if you’re calling here they don’t accept out of pocket pay and Medical/Calviva. Just letting you know don’t waste you’re time.
