This "company" must be the biggest joke on campus, maybe in Columbus, and Brian R. Grimm is an even bigger joke. First and foremost, a majority of the staff is rude, including the property owner himself. At move in, the house was not prepared. The shower doors were in the tub, there was mold covering the entire bathroom, the medicine cabinet was disgusting (rust and grime), the fridge was missing the seal that allowed it to close, the dryer did not work, the dishwasher did not work, the back screen door had a busted screen..... read more

University Manors is a pretty good place, especially for a first time renter. Kelly, the manager(?) is great! It's a little stressful at the beginning of the school year (a lot of people are moving in and out and everyone needs maintenance for some reason or another at the same time, you just have to be patient). Anyway, the whole office staff is really helpful and they try to answer emails as quickly as possible and take care of everybody. Parking is a pain, but again, they do their best to help out. Terrible company. Every time I have gone into their offices, I have been met with a rude and condescending tone. Seriously, they are the most unpleasant and unfriendly people I have come in contact with. Maintenance has entered my apartment completely unannounced on multiple occasions, which as a woman living alone, is a bit unsettling. The 'free internet' is terrible and doesn't even work half the time. Whatever you do, don't rent from these people. We had countless issues with our oven, fridge, toilet, tub, and lights. They never came in to fix things on time. Also the staff is always rude. The apartment was filthy when we moved in. It is also sad this company placed a fake comment to make themselves look better. Clearly they are willing to take the time to make themselves look better, but not willing to keep up their apartments. I hope to never have to deal with such a terrible company again.

First of all, the tip from "Dublin Scioto" is quite obviously written by the property management company and not a real resident. Sentences such as "as long as you don't trash your place you will get your Security Deposit back" is something which would be unknowable to a resident and not likely to be commented by a real person. The fact that the company feels the need to throw out fake reviews is quite telling. Having said that, this tip is about the "state of the art key fobs for security." Wonderful Experience- Best Security & Parking! – I must say I had a wonderful experience renting from University Manors, so much so that I rented from them for 3 years and recommended them to my friends who also loved them. As long as you don't trash your place you will get your Security Deposit back and will never ever hear from this land lord. These properties are by far the cleanest, most well maintained properties. DO NOT RENT University Manors Ltd – University Manors Ltd, in Columbus, Ohio... need a black star here for Unacceptable for this one. Beware Beware do not trust this outfit!!! I rented there last year and many many problems. Move in day the place was filthy and smelled like urine. Water leaks, fawcets broken, carpet was nasty dirty, AC broken, heat broken, very slow to fix problems. Staff is very rude and unkind. The building is literally falling apart. I wish I could rate them lower than 1 star – Out of my 6 years and 4 different landlords while attending Ohio State, University Manors was by far the worst. We did not have a working oven or refrigerator for the first month in the lease. We also had a smoking outlet during this time which they told us was low on their list of things to take care of.
