Shreveport is most notoriously rated as the 9th most dangerous city in the United States according to a prominent Forbes analysis If I could rate below 1 I definitely would!!! The night before we checked in there was a nurse telling me that she was held at gun point and robbed and stole her car. If you are not inside before 9 p.m they will not let u come back in... I was forced to wait outside alone in this very dangerous area... So beware if u are considering this place . I will never ever be back!!!
DO NOT ADMIT YOUR CHILD TO THIS HOSPITAL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, FIND AN ALTERNATIVE. These people are insane and do not have any one’s best interest at heart.
No one answers the phones after 4 PM
Absolutely unacceptable. We arrived at LSU Health Shreveport at 1:00 PM, and as of 10:07 PM, over 9 hours later, my mother is still sitting in pain with only blood work and an X-ray done. The level of disregard for patient comfort and urgency is deeply concerning. My mom is clearly suffering, and there has been zero communication or compassion from most of the staff.
