They are not very helpful when I needed them at my lowest all they did told me to wait etc and never got my called back I did my assessment twice then now I’m gone they call the last minute on January took months I said You guys took too long and hung up I don’t want to hear a sorry
Long, arduous process in which you get bounced around between different members of the intake “team” before you can even schedule an appointment with a doctor or nurse practitioner. I had to go over my sensitive mental health history in detail and answer irrelevant questions from two people who never introduced themselves or explained their roles, so I genuinely don’t know who they were or if they were even medical professionals. I’ve met a few really amazing student-psychiatrists and the supervising doctors and nurses I’ve had are great. Things can take longer than a private practice because it’s an overworked teaching hospital but my care teams have been truly invested in my health both mental and physical. Getting a case manager, employment services and other aspects take patience and dedication, but now that I have them they’re great. I obviously can only speak to my experience but mine has been generally positive.
They want you to be early, yet after waiting 25 min. past my appointment I opted out. Rediculous, since they require u to reschedule if your late., although they do not hold themselves to the same standards. Whole waiting a lady informed her appointments have been 1 to 2 hrs past her appt. Everytime. No thank you
I brought my daughter to see Dr. Ganta here, and it was great! We came to her in a state of exasperation of sorts. We’d been trying to get an effective treatment for my kid’s mental health challenges with other providers for well over a year by the time we made it to our first appointment with University Health Behavioral Health clinic.
