Universe Appliance Repair is Excellent! The service mechanics are prompt, know their stuff, and they are honest! They will guarantee their work, and will not try to talk you into a costly repair if the appliance doesn't warrant it. The parts department is very helpful to "doi-it-your-selfers" and they have most parts in stock. You can't go wrong using Universe!
DO NOT USE! TOTAL RIPOFF. Called Universe the week before Christmas to come and look at my stove. The oven was not lighting. I had bought parts before from the Lynbrook store and found them to be knowledgable and helpful. Not this time. I knew the problem was a simple one and would have tried to fix it myself if not for the fact that it was just before Christmas, i had no time and we were hosting. service I can always get the replacement parts for my fridge and stove here. Always carry stock, and prices are good. When I had a problem with the a/c this summer, even though I didn't have a service contract with them, they put me on the list to get repairs when they had a tech available. I got someone before they could get back to me, but they made follow calls to make sure I still needed the service. I would say they are very on the ball.
jimi p. other repair companies should use universe as a model on how a business should be ran.technicians who care and stay until a problem is corrected. we had a rare problem with our return flow pipe, one where nobody had seen before. universe technicians and a supervisor all stayed till the problem was corrected. they even went as far as to call in the boilers rep. to come to the home and help with a solution.this co. goes the extra 2 miles for the consumer.having a service contract with this organization is one of the be... read more
Appliances I did not purchase my refrigerator from this company, but I did call them for service. They were prompt cost effective and came back for a followup call.
Poor Service I had a good A/C installation, but the electrician ruined my electric outlet in the front of the house. I could not get him back here to repair it, even after several calls. I am ending up by having to hire another electrician to do the repair.
