Last year I had a patio door installed by Universal Windows Direct. It did not go well. They came back to “fix it” after I’d asked several questions and had water coming in. I even clearly asked why there was no Sil tape used and they said in person “we really should, but we don’t use it. This was after they tore out quality brick mold and replaced it with cheap thin flashing. We specifically agreed that the door would be removed, Sil cleaned up, new wood put down (provided by me) Sil tape properly installed (provided by me)... read more
