Independent diamond Jewelry appraisal while you wait – I saw the previous reviews for this place and decided to have my setting appraised there since they did not sell jewelry nor diamonds. There was a choice of a verbal appraisal or a written appraisal. The gemologist explained things in detail and answered all my questions and was able to give me wholesale and retail values for my items. Quality Professional Appraisal! – I had my fiance's engagement ring appraised by Lana at Universal Gem for insurance. They were extremely professional and reasonable priced. Importantly, they are independent and, therefore, are not connected to any seller. At each step I was told the reason for the grading and was let in on the process behind her decision. Real Appraisal! Real People! – I visited UGL after finding them on Citysearch. Initially, I had called on the phone and was happy to speak to a REAL person, who went over with me what to expect from the appraisal process and what the cost would be.
