I did not receive any type of therapy to help me with my issues. The place is absolutely disgusting!! For the first 3 days there i didn't even see a single person with a mop or any type of cleaning supplies. Even when they did clean they took about 5 minutes in the room. And it was once, that they came in my room to clean. The food was terrible. This facility is the most unprofessional disgusting dirty gloomy poor excuse of a psych Hospital. I just left from visiting my wife and it made me depressed just walking through the hall. There is mildew in the lunchroom plain as day where the drink fountain is. The bathroom that I used had so much rust on the fixtures I think I may need a tetanus booster! I was admitted to the meadows involuntarily… in my first 72 hours on the unit I only saw one psych dr for a total of 5 mins. He diagnosed me with severed depressive state within those 5 mins because I cried talking about my husbands death 6 years ago. While on the unit myself and 10 other people including patients and staff were attacked by another patient in a 3 day period. My fiancé told me how horrible this place is, they don’t help you. They just pump you full of drugs and make you do paperwork and call it a day, no therapy or anything. They don’t follow the schedule they have for you and the staff themselves have told her straight up this program is a joke. She gets 10 different answers to any serious questions she asks so nobody there knows what’s going on or they don’t care to.
