Can only rate the receptionist as she was the only one I was able to talk to. Family doctor referred me for a colonoscopy. My mother was diagnosed with advanced colon cancer at age 50 and has a genetic marker that could have passed down to me increasing my risk at a younger age. The doctors are all jerks. I called to say I have a new doctor at the University and to cancel my upcoming appointment. Today I had a cardiologist appointment. Registration at PCI was confused. I was confused, until they read this offices notes. THEY NEVER CANCELED MY GASTRO APPOINTMENT, THEY CANCELED MY HEART DOCTOR APPOINTMENT! They can’t even get a simple cancellation correct. Quite possibly the most appalling and terrible customer service I’ve ever received from a receptionist. I’ve never ever gone into a phone call kindly, looking for assistance, to be told, “Well I can’t help you.” You might not be able to, but can’t you just get me to someone who can? Without being a huge jerk? She told me she couldn’t help me multiple times, meanwhile I remained calm and polite. Hopefully her supervisor can look at who it was and reprimand her. Once again, the gastroenterology department has failed me. It has been 6 years since my last colonoscopy. It was supposed to be done last year. However, it took Jess(Dr. Chepyala's nurse) 8 months with 2 referrals before contacting me. Finally, get that call, and due to only going to the restroom every 2-3 days, they now want to see me in the office before scheduling my year overdue colonoscopy!
