I took a chance going to the ER for a bad toothache. Dentist appointment is on Tuesday. DO. Gallegos looked into my concern about the tooth. She was able to give me some meds to relieve the pain until my appointment. I had called the VA, dentist and could not get help or willing to. Pekin ER was great Dr said I will help and she did. Even with a hole in my tooth. I hear people talk bad about Pekin hospital. I have never had a problem. Thanks again for the help
If it were possible to give them a zero star I would. My fiancee and I went here June 27 as she had unbearable back pain at 30 weeks pregnant. They got her in fairly fast but the nurse (Johnathan) didn't seem to know how to work the equipment and after 20 minutes or so finally asked for help only to find out that the equipment was faulty. Earlier in the week we went swimming with our dogo for the first time and she was not a fan at all. My wife, 40 years old, went in with symptoms of a stroke. Right side of her face wasn't moving. The nurses, and the ACTUAL doctor, were great and fast, they recognized the situation. Halfway through the stay, some guy going by "Dr. Patel" just walks in wearing street clothes, points his finger at random patient and asks who they are, and just starts making stuff up. They suck I was trying to get a nurse to help me go to the bathroom over 30 minutes
Not a good emergency room. Takes absolutely forever. We sat there for 4 hours no results and ultimately decided to leave. Will not be returning anytime soon.
