If it were possible to give them a zero star I would. My fiancee and I went here June 27 as she had unbearable back pain at 30 weeks pregnant. They got her in fairly fast but the nurse (Johnathan) didn't seem to know how to work the equipment and after 20 minutes or so finally asked for help only to find out that the equipment was faulty. Earlier in the week we went swimming with our dogo for the first time and she was not a fan at all. My wife, 40 years old, went in with symptoms of a stroke. Right side of her face wasn't moving. The nurses, and the ACTUAL doctor, were great and fast, they recognized the situation. Halfway through the stay, some guy going by "Dr. Patel" just walks in wearing street clothes, points his finger at random patient and asks who they are, and just starts making stuff up. They suck I was trying to get a nurse to help me go to the bathroom over 30 minutes
Not a good emergency room. Takes absolutely forever. We sat there for 4 hours no results and ultimately decided to leave. Will not be returning anytime soon.
The reviews here really surprise me. We just moved to Pekin from out of state just over a year ago, and in that time I have been here 6 times now. 4 emergency visits (my children and visiting family members) and 2 sick visits (both my children). And every time the staff was great. Very helpful and quick to respond. My children have been seen 3 times and every time we are taken back within 5 minutes.
