Not a good emergency room. Takes absolutely forever. We sat there for 4 hours no results and ultimately decided to leave. Will not be returning anytime soon.
The reviews here really surprise me. We just moved to Pekin from out of state just over a year ago, and in that time I have been here 6 times now. 4 emergency visits (my children and visiting family members) and 2 sick visits (both my children). And every time the staff was great. Very helpful and quick to respond. My children have been seen 3 times and every time we are taken back within 5 minutes. You might think the bad reviews on here are people just complaining because they had one bad experience but I can promise you they are truly the worst ER in the state and possibly country. If you do decide to go just know you will not at all get treated properly, they won’t ask the right questions, don’t care about sincerely helping their patients at all, take their time with every step of the way, and you may possibly even get somebody else’s paperwork. I had appendicitis and it took only 30 mins in the waiting room then half hour to diagnose! I felt very safe there
The entire side of my head up into the top of my head is swollen and they refused to even give me antibiotics. I can't see well out of my left eye and it feels like someone is squeezing my brain. The swelling is so large you can see it from a few feet away. They refused to help me. When I die from this infection in my brain, my wife will be suing the doctor who treated me and the hospital.
