I went in and told them I was going to kill myself and they discharged me with literally only a pamphlet for rodgers outpatient, a notoriously terrible mental institution, and said come back when it’s worse. I quite literally told them my plan and that i was going to kill myself and that’s all they did. thanks. The only reason im giving them one star is because there was a wonderful trans registration, she was wonderful and I liked her a lot.

go to UW unless you are actively bleeding out and this place is closer. and be careful not to be visibly trans they will never take your pain seriously because clearly it’s just mental health. A wonderful vicious cycle of using the previous dismissal to further dismiss. I love being sent home, unable to walk having expressed many times that I am unable to care for myself. and I wish that was the worst part - I believe that my doctor intentionally built a rapport with me so that it would hurt worse when he said he wouldn’t do... read more

First I met Heather, who does a similar job to what I do for work, and she was very pleasant. Then I got to Ross in Triage and he was friendly and compassionate. Then Bria came to get me, she carried my backpack for me (I was there for severe back pain) and I though that was so sweet. Over and above. Little things like that really make a difference.
