My girlfriend dislocated her elbow on Friday night and this was the closest ER to where we were. We aren’t from the area so I was unsure of where the best place to go would be. This place was excellent. We arrived and the intake nurse saw the pain she was in and brought her right back. The elbow was set back in place within two hours by some of the friendliest staff I have ever experienced in an emergency department. Very grateful.

I've always liked Lutheran but I felt a little threatened when my wife and I went through the emergency entrance where we subjected to emptying our pockets,metal detectors and a wand. I guess it is nice to know your safe but it was kind of an invasion of privacy. As far as I know no other hospital does what Lutheran Emergency Dept does. It be nice if they had that kind of security at our K-12 educational Schools

The majority of the nurses are competent and caring. However, the few rude nurses who aren't and give minimal effort to their profession, get protected by the charge nurse if you seek any kind of resolution. The operation itself is not set up to protect the patient.
