I have had an awful week inpatient at UIHC. Today I stopped into St Lukes to get some information from a neurosurgery department that I haven't even been seen by, they were just the ones who read my MRI through the ER before I was sent to Iowa city. But today when I stopped in the neurosurgery dept was already closed for the day. since dr hlavin left its gone to hell. i feel the staff the do not care about the patient. jeremy G. is great but when hes not there they treat you like you dont matter. so im looking for another neurosurgeon
So sorry to hear Dr. Hlavin is leaving! She did a C6-7 ACDF with hardware for me in March 2018 & I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience! Such a kind, gentle manner & her PA Jeremy is great too! This office really has it together. I’m sure I will return there in future if any issues with which they can help! Anyone who doesn’t like these people has to have something wrong with them!!! Will certainly recommend them to others. I definitely felt safe in their hands & was not disappointed!!
Dr Hlavin went above and beyond for my husband when his previous Dr kept telling us we was "too young" (25) to have the type of back pain he truely did have. We had to jump though multiple hoops before we got the care he truely needed from an ER Dr who pushed for an MRI. We chose after the 2nd ER visit that we needed to find a new Dr. The next day Dr. Hlavin's office called us and set us up with an appointment after that everything was perfect!
