a great place to spend time with family
So, so pretty with a wonderful variety in Cherry Blossoms. The brochures had great descriptions and details on each type and how they came to be. Enjoyed my time here much more as opposed to the Tidal Basin. Fewer people and the arrangement of plants seemed more aesthetic and natural. Highly recommend coming here instead on the peak weekend.
My wife and I visited for about 2 hours mid March of 2025. The scrubs and trees were budding but not yet in bloom the grounds are pleasant with several paved walls, some fairly steep and would probably not be suitable for wheelchairs without a very fit assistant. Currently access is free and there is plentiful parking. There are a few picnic tables on the perimeter of the park. The gift shop is closed and the tram is not running.
