We had a relaxing and quiet walk amongst blooming cherry trees and others, and enjoyed the bonsai trees on display. It's a great place to escape the crowds and enjoy plants and trees. I do miss the many koi they had some years ago. One problem at this moment that needs to be taken care of, and to be aware of: The outside of some of the buildings are swarming with carpenter bees. They don't seem interested in humans or aggressive, but take care.

The Arboretum was a really peaceful place to walk and explore. It’s not just one big view like the Tidal Basin—there are different trees and areas spread out, so you end up wandering and discovering things along the way. I loved how quiet it felt. You can take your time, stop often, and really look at the details...some of the best moments were just noticing small things up close.
