A living memorial to the Holocaust, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum inspires citizens and leaders worldwide to confront hatred, prevent genocide, and promote human dignity. The Museum is open six days a week. It is closed on Wednesdays, Yom Kippur, and Christmas Day. If you don't know much about the Holocaust I will recommend this museum to learn more about it. It's well done & informative. However, if you are a WWIII buff & know a lot about this historic time, you may find it a bit more redundant. Buy & plan ahead to get tickets. It was filled with many students on field trips.
My son and I visited the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum yesterday in Washington, D.C., and it was a profoundly moving and educational experience. The museum does an incredible job of honoring the memory of those who suffered while providing a deeply immersive and thought-provoking journey through history.
