My dad had a horrific experience at this place. The nurses and aids were completely neglectful. We had to take him out before he was medically ready to come home. I wouldn't want to see anyone else's loved one go through what my dad went through.

I was visiting my parents yesterday when they were having their vitals checked and the kindness, care, and compassion of the staff member was absolutely heartwarming. My family is so grateful that my parents are at The Shores. We can't imagine a better place.

If your loved one or you needs a short term rehab after surgery or another situation that caused decreased mobility, I can’t imagine you’d be able to find a better place. RecommendedMy mom Jacky Cunney lived at UMC@C for a little over a year. When she chose it she said it was because she "felt at home". Her apartment was nice and she was able to keep her two cats with her which was very therapeutic. The staff was wonderful, positive and so caring. Mom only left because the covid quarantine was affecting her adversely. I must say that I was highly impressed with how Jim and the staff handled it all. RecommendedBoth Mom and Dad spent the last months of their lives here. The staff here considers the people there part of their family. I live 6 hours away and was always contacted immediately when there was a problem or need. Dad died during the Covid -19 quarantine. Even so Julie the head of assisted living devised a way for my family to visit him 7 times during his last months. I had full trust in the staff and their care. I highly encourage you to consider Pitman Manor for your loved ones.
RecommendedI have been the hairdresser/ barber for 26 years , at UMC-Pitman . I tell everyone if the hairdresser stays that long willingly there’s a reason . See the hairdresser knows she sees and hears . And in our salon I’ve heard how the residents feel about their home . The fact that they call it HOME , tells me their happy . RecommendedI worked there for almost 15 yrs in both health care and assisted living. I loved working with everyone, the nurses, CNAs, housekeepers, dietary. They all were so caring and just an awesome group to work with. Would definitely recommend. 5 ⭐️ loving my retirement!
