Autistic adults without direct caregivers helping (parents) navigate services, beware and do not contract with UCP through DDS. I’m a care giver, and you wouldn’t believe the hoops i have had to jump through to get a single thing from doctors and insurance for the elderly woman I care for. I found UCP while researching programs to help I stumbled on UCP. Hazel, an angle literally doing the lords work has gone above and beyond to help in anyway she can. The lady I care for needed a Gerri chair (impossible to find) she went above and beyond calling nursing homes hospitals and I’m sure many others.
