I left with regret knowing I wanted to donate blood, I don't want to look like a loser to the city knowing this ugly 10 year old is fallowing me with my lame As family members on the side pushing me to be more broke then homeless people in the Santa Maria it's really sad hopefully next time I can go sorry I ate some food I should of donated I like to pay back from what I take with my own money but I couldn't knowing how poor my background is for the moment ty :)

I've been donating since 1972, but with the worst veins ever. The staff is patient, gentle and the nicest, best trained, fun people in the world. Getting to hang with them is such a fun privilege. It's a great experience and a chance to save precious lives at a time when too many are too busy or too scared to donate. The need is great, the cost is a little time with snacks and special offers to encourage those who respond to $ or prizes.

I accept that it took at hour to get me to the donor chair but why couldn’t someone start the transfusion once there. After waiting another 30 minutes and still no sign that anyone was going to set it up, I gave up. I would love to have donated platelets today but not knowing a timeframe of when someone might get things moving along just demonstrated a lack of consideration for the donors time. So between travel time to/ fro I just wasted 3 hours of my morning.
