I have donated 4 times in the past few months. Platelets, plasma, whole blood…. Whatever they are in most need of at the time. They have taken great care of me and are always grateful for the donation. They thank me multiple times and are knowledgeable about what they do. I only started donating again this year and had not donated since 2008. So much has changed and Vitalant’s App and Website are helpful. And on top of this I am earning rewards for doing something I would do regardless and that’s kinda cool.
I recently donated blood with Vitalant at the blood mobile that was located behind my church. I used to donate years ago and thought it was high time I do it again. The experience was such a positive one that I plan to do this again and again. My Phlebotomist was so kind and thoughtful in so many ways. Thank you for what you do to make lives easier for others!
Won’t give blood with a Vitalant arm anymore for the sole hope of lowering the number of AI voice spam calls and messages I get. Literally non stop it’s insane and doesn’t matter how many numbers you block or times you ask to be taken off a list. There are plenty of blood donation services elsewhere that won’t fill your spam box in three months.
So I do a blood date (give blood then so for dinner and drinks) 1-3x a year for the last 4 years. This time the receptionist was horrid. I brought a new nervous donor- she grilled us on how much we ate, threatened us we'll pass out, stopped and waited for us grab food ie forced... then did the same with the water befoe giving us the paperwork to read.
