Donated Red Blood Cells. Staff was outstanding. - Blood donation centers need smart tv's so blood donors can watch comedy or interesting programs. this can be helpful in distracting from the process/thought of having to be poked with a needle. Thanks

Not a good experience. I donated blood last Wednesday at their Rodeo Rd location in Santa Fe. When the technician inserted the needle, she then moved it to more to the middle of the arm, which seemed odd. After she unhooked me and took the needle out, blood started coming out fast and I had a knot the size of a golf ball where the needle was. She must have hit either my brachial or radial artery. The kindest humans work there! I was terrified to be there and unlike many instances, there was no minimizing, eye rolling or patronizing me for my fear and fainting, only kindness and understanding along with professionalism. It’s typically so embarrassing to create drama, but my fears were gently addressed and so expertly transformed into utmost appreciation for the compassion and care. Thank you!

Love that they allow you do make appointments to donate ensuring your wait time is minimal and online pre-registration makes it even easier and quicker.

I've been doing blood there for probably close to a decade. Usually I go between 2 and 4 times a year, although I'm committing to going four times a year now.
