We booked our flight through AMEX Travel & didn't actually choose United. It was chosen for us. If we had known what we know now, we would have changed the reservation. They cancelled our flight, we couldn't get another one until 2 days later, we didn't get vouchers for a hotel so now we're out that expense and our bags beat us to Amarillo, but I am having a horrible time trying to retrieve them. They knew they had a problem on our plane overnight. Didn’t let us know until we were at the gate for over an hour. Flight crew knew and didn’t show up for original departure time. Played the string along game for over 3 hours and finally announced that a 8:00 departure was delayed until 3pm.
Waiting here at 9:50 am Friday and no one here to help travelers. Guess this will be the only time I fly United.
