Union Station

4.7

About this business

Standing as a grand focal point for the west end of 17th Street, Union Station is one of lower downtown's most attractive pieces of architecture. Numerous restaurants and nightclubs occupy this historic building. You can sip martinis and relate with urban hipsters at A Bar, or get rowdy to the blues and chow down on Cajun cuisine. The original building, constructed in 1880, burned to the ground. In 1914, the current beau arts building took shape, complete with three storey windows and high ceilings.

Union Station is buzzing with activity! From the trains coming and going, to the variety of shops and restaurants, it is the hub of downtown Denver for sure! It's the perfect place for people watching. Most importantly, it's showing that our great city is up and coming with meeting Denver's growing transport needs 😀

Great shops lightrail and park. I love the mix of retail shops and unique stores very pedestrian friendly. Lots of bikes, benches, and very handicap accessible.

Union Station is amazing- a great place to hang out and get breakfast or lunch at. Also, many tourists and visitors are always passing through here and it is sometimes fun to people watch. You will often overhear people talking about business or visiting the mountains in the bar areas. This is also where most of the trains meet up. My favorite places to get coffee in Union are Pigtrain and Mercantile. And during the summer, they have a wonderful farmers market with fruits, veggies, artisan pies and biscotti, local butcher me... read more

Great place to hang when just arriving to Denver or about to leave. Ate at Zoe Ma Ma which was delicious. Hung around by the water fountain soaking some sun.
