We arrived early for our reservation but were promptly seated. The server was at our table within a minute of being sat and took our drink orders. The drinks arrived quickly and we placed appetizer orders. We were a party of 4 and each had something different. The drinks were fantastic. We were just passing through Ann Arbor and specifically chose Union Rec because their website menu showed that they sold meat by the half pound, which was exactly what my husband wanted. We came in, ordered drinks and chips & salsa, and then noticed that option wasn’t on the menu in the restaurant. When we asked our server, she told us they no longer offer it. Cool atmosphere. Server was very nice and attentive but it did take awhile to get refilled. I didn't eat much so I can't really speak on the food but they do a vegan twist to a lot of their menu.
It was a Friday, and the menu listed hamburgers. We went to order them, and they told us they didn't have any hamburger buns. That was terrible. That place is awful.
Drinks were a little slow at times, but it wads busy so some leeway is allowed. Very clean, very friendly staff. I can absolutely see myself coming back for after work drinks and food.
