The lady that took me as her client was nice, but this place is filthy, there are bait boxes (for vermin) at your feet! (Disgusting!). Long story, but the lady who did my braids was very talented but also mean and violent. I had to tell her to stop pushing my head down and to stop pulling my hair. (She would literally take a fist full of hair and yank my head back. A different customer might have gotten up and punched her. I'm serious. It was an attack). Sorry to the people that didn't have a good experience. My bff recommended I come here for great quality braids and a good price. Under $200 is rare. I do a fulani style i saw on tiktok. Showed a lady after 3 seconds of examining she started and killed it. Took maybe 3 hours or little over. 3-4 different women worked on my braids and they came out PERFECTLY. Im so happy and will be back! The spot is definitely a hole in the wall but for this price and quality in NYC all worth it.
Aida is fast and good. Their prices are reasonable but they did go up since last year.
I love my hair braided and they were done wonderful job yesterday and I love to go back soon
