I wrote my first book here. Crazy to say, but I have more piece sitting and writing all around the bar on a busy day than I do when writing at home or anywhere else. The people are friendly. The food and drinks are always killer. The music is up for debate but I cant complain. I love this place, honestly and truly. I hate to move away, but I guarantee that whenever Im in the hudson valley I wont leave without seeing the best business. Underground Coffee and Ales is a gem that will always sparkle in my memories.
Regular for Lunch
An excellent small spot for breakfast or lunch. Loved my Ruben with a house salad, great quality of ingredients and not overstuffed. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. We felt we were welcome guests.
Was in the area and wanted to try a new restaurant. I understand it was breakfast time and is probably busier than other times. I walk in and wasn’t acknowledged. Decided to stand around and wait to order. Customer in front of me orders to go and even offers me a menu to look at. The woman who takes her order walks away.
