As an admin of the Support Better Independent Truck Stop group I love to find and stay at the independents. This is by far the best one to me. Truck drivers are catered to here, and are always welcome. Hopefully I can get a chance to meet Tara before I have to leave today.
Food was ok.. ordered the Spaghetti and meat balls. But as many people as they had working and only a few tables full. Service was terrible. Very slow sat for 20 minutes till I got a menu. Another customer that was there longer also complained and got a attitude in return. So had to sit thru a shouting match.. nothing special so u will not return
Great food nice ppl i was the only black guy in there felt a little odd at first but those ppl where nice and cool and i got me a new eating spot

I ate here yesterday 7/16/17 and it was great. Good portion size and great service.

Good food and down home friendly people! One of the last surviving independent truck stops that appreciate the truck driver and the local people. Every time I visit Uncle Pete's, I am reminded of the times when I was a kid and on the truck with my dad, and we would stop at a truck stop.
