About this business

Bringing a slice of Thailand to New York is just what Uncle Boons does. Serving authentic Thai cuisine, this restaurant is best known for its appetizer and drink combinations. Among these, the mieng kum, made with betel leaf is legendary. The equally delicious entrees include the massaman neuh and the crab fried rice. Service was good but food fell short of expectations. Maybe I came on a bad day, but the baby octopi were too burnt and chicken skin skewers and frog legs were way too salty like they forgot to clean the wok in between cooking different orders. Came because it had a Michelin star rating. Kind of lost respect for the organization after trying multiple Michelin star places this week on my trip to NYC.
