My stay at UNC Rex Hospital from May 21, 2026 until May 29, 2026 was welcoming and respectful. My Neurosurgeon wasn't. Because of my age, history of chronic illnesses, and the complexity the spinal stenosis I had recently been diagnosed with, I expected and deserved more, not less attention from my surgeon, Dr. Khoury. May 21, 2026, I was scheduled for a very complex spinal surgery at UNC Rex. I have many chronic illnesses that requires more than 20 meds daily, which is why having my property with my current medication list was important at this and all other hospital stays. I made this consistently clear. Before the surgery, I told my nurse, again, to make sure my property arrives to my room with me. When it comes to phlebotomy, are white and kiss butt, you will fit right in. If you like to lie and are jealous of other people, who are better than you, you will fit right in. If you want to work where people lie on you, here you go!! Very high turnover rate.
