Had a sleep study done at the UNC Hospital Sleep Clinic in mid-December of 2024. I did not receive any information prior to the study - only a street address. This different from other procedures I’ve had in the past where they send an info packet ahead of time. I had several questions about this: Where should I park? Should I eat before I arrive? What should I bring? How much does this cost? None of this was conveyed prior to the visit. I researched some on my own, left plenty of time to locate the office, and parked in a g... read more

Too hot to sleep comfortably. They have to use this heavy duty glue to account for this (because when you sweat, the sensors can fall off). Where a bed should be, it seems to be a sheet of plywood with a sheet on top of it. Incredibly uncomfortable. I'm going to continue, but I want to make it clear: DO NOT HAVE YOUR SLEEP STUDY HERE!! Run far away from this place. I did a home sleep study. Steve hooked up all my wires. When I came back the next day to get unhooked, the girl said she had never seen that much glue on someone’s head. She apologized and said she would talk to him. But I had no idea how bad it was until I got home. I basically had to soak every inch of my hair in acetone just so I could try to comb some of the glue out it took over two hours, and I lost a ton of hair, which at my age I cannot afford to lose. Horrible experience!
